I'm Home!

Hello, My Friends!

I'm home!  Well, for a few days, anyway!  ;)  My youngest daughter and I spent five days in beautiful Puerto Rico!  We had a lovely time, I taught Sizzix Classes for two days and the rest of the time we played!  :)  I don't often take time off (I really love to work!) so it was a blast!

We went to the beach, the pool, Old San Juan, El Morro.....AND......we went snorkeling on Culebra Island and I got to see Sea Turtles!  It was amazing!  If you want to see all the photos from my Sea Adventure, you can check out the Culebra Island Adventures Facebook Page  I'm wearing the pink tank top and black/pink/white bathing suit.  ;)  If you ever are in the area, I highly recommend this company!

Here are a few photos.....

Ha ha, yep, that's ME!  :)

I know I look like a total dork, but when you are having this much fun, you don't care!  ;)

Katie didn't care too much for the snorkeling (she refused to put her face in the water!)  grrr...but, she still had fun.

We kayaked for about 20 minutes...haha...THAT was funny to see two girls that have never kayaked before try to keep us will all the guys in the other kayaks in our tour.  ;)

My kids can't believe I held this...thing!

Seeing this photo, I realize what a dream this adventure was.  I love Sea Turtles!
We kayaked around the land behind Katie to snorkel!

Flamenco Beach...one of the top beaches in the world.

It was truly an amazing trip....although, we flew to this little island, the plane only held nine people!  I still can't believe I got on the plane!

We sat right behind the pilot!

Puerto Rico from the air.

This was my air vent.  It's about the size of the palm of my hand.  It was weird to have wind blowing on me in the air.

Thanks for sharing this adventure with me.  It has always been a dream of mine to swim with sea turtles.  :)

Now, back to work!  :)  I worked all day yesterday designing new cards for future classes and worked on a few stamp set ideas.  I am picking up some new die samples from Sizzix today that I can't wait until we get in stock!  You will love them!  :)

We leave in one week for the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Las Vegas!  We hope to see you there!

Since I've shared my dream trip with you, what is your dream trip that you'd like to take or have taken?  I need to add a new dream trip to my list, so I'd love your ideas!  Leave a comment on this blog post and share with me!  :)

Happy Stamping!

My dream trip was to go to Hawaii...but now that our son moved to Newport Beach (yep! right by you :) ) all our travel miles are being used to visit him! It is so beautiful there...oh, my goodness! Someday I hope to be able to visit with you in your hometown. Second dream vacation....Israel. To see the places where Jesus had his ministry. Maybe someday.
Your pictures are beautiful...looks like a fun trip to take too! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Beautiful thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Seeing the Island from the air was cool it sure did not look like that when I lived there in the late 60's.

A year and a half ago I went with my daughter to London and Paris for 10 days because she broke up with the guy she was supposed to go with. She lives in NYC and we are in central NY so I don't get to see enough of her and we had a fabulous time. Her friends couldn't believe she was going with her mother but we really get along and have so much fun together. Paris wasn't on my bucket list but I can't recommend it highly enough. I didn't have to pick up anything gross though!

Oh, Stephanie, that looked like a fantastic trip & kudos for mother-daughter time. What a great memory for you and Katie.

Hawaii was my favorite trip until my recent 2 week trip visiting the West. I've not been further west of Memphis, TN, by car & we drove through 15 states total. Favorite trip was to Yellowstone - in Idaho (Bear World) and Wyoming - and can't wait to go back. My daughter got to feed a baby bear cub. She & I stood within 10 feet of buffalo. The Grand Tetons were spectacular. Hubs took pics. It was a fantastic time.

Stephanie what a wonderful trip to do with your daughter. She'll remember this always. I travelled a great deal with my mom all over the US. One of the memorable of many was our trip together to Paris. We spent 10 days there and had an amazing time.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip with us. It just made me smile reading about it.

Oooh! I love snorkeling and I can't believe how many beautiful sea turtles you saw! If my high school marine biology knowledge doesn't fail me, that "thing" you were holding is called a "brittle star" a name which, I think, makes the "thing" look so much more delicate and beautiful once you know it. :) So, how about a cool undersea stamp set? Anemones, hermit crabs, puffer fish, etc. It would appeal to aquarium enthusiasts, too.
I have been lucky to travel to a fair amount of cool places in the Caribbean, French West Indes, etc. I am itching to see Paris again, and I'd love to see St. Petersburg (Russia, not FL) and Moscow. Switzerland would be neat, too. Czech Republic (or whatever it is now) would be cool, too. Plus I always dig a trip to New Orleans here in the U.S. Oh! And let's not forget how many places in Canada I'd like to visit or re-visit. I could go on and on. Travel is in my blood. I grew up spending more time in motels than at home until school beckoned, then summers we still traveled. It was my dad's job that took us all over the place. Neat, I thought.

Wow... I'm jealous of you. It looks as if you had a great time. I'm loving the pictures you took. I'm with your daughter I probably wouldn't put my face in the water as well. One look at a fish, turtle or octapus would give me a heart attack on the spot. I have had this underwater phobia since I was a child and I can't seem to make it go away. I tried twice going on one of those glass bottom boats in Hawaii and I couldn't even handle that. I'll see you at the next show. Sheri from essler Stamps/Stencils Co.
