National Cocoa Day!

Hello Friends!

Welcome to the National Cocoa Day blog hop that we are doing in collaboration with Coffee Loving Cardmakers! Check out our post below and then hop to see all the other hoppers and their Cocoa inspired projects with Stamps of Life products! While hopping make sure to leave comments along the way! Coffee Loving Card Makers is giving away a $25 gift card!

Ready? Light a fire, put on your coziest cozies and get yourself a cup of yummy cocoa!

We wanted a little more contemporary look for our card so we started with a layering panel technique. Cut 4 pieces of white cardstock to the same size. Center the biggest heart, secure with washi tape if desired and die cut. We used Sizzix Dotted Hearts by Stephanie Barnard
Using the panel you just die cut as a guide, center the next smaller heart on a different panel and die cut.
Repeat the with the next smaller heart and another panel.
Stack all the panels together and add adhesive foam in between each layer.
Next is a classic favorite... ABC Dies, and we die cut out the word cocoa!

Ink the edges with blenders4ink and stamp the letters with tiny snowflakes from christmas2build set!

Time to start pulling this little card together. Cut a card base, fold and add patterned paper. This patterned paper is from the Forever Collection- Did you know we are having a BOGO on patterned paper this month! Check out all our paper HERE!

Now to get to the the star of the show... Stamp and die cut a mug using hotchocolate2stamp stamps and matching dies. Color with markers and stamp with the snowflake stamps. Add a colored stamp and die from Sizzix Mittens & Snow Globe

You want whip? uh, yes please!... Add whip cream and marshmallows from the hotchocolate2stamp
Don't forget the hotcohocolate2stamp dies!

And there you have it... here's the final card.
No card is complete without a darling inside! Tied it all together with stamps and dies from hotchocolate2stamp and our Tag Holder Die Set to hold a gift card... for hot cocoa of course!

Now grab yourself some more cocoa and hop to all these blogs for more cocoa inspiration!
